Modern Slavery Act Corporate Statement
The Guild, including Guild Freelancing Limited, Guild Assist Limited (trading as Guild Umbrella), GuildHub Consulting Limited and for these purposes Guild Commercial Limited, strives to work ethically and in accordance with the provisions set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
The Guild is committed to legal and tax compliance and deals in good faith with other parties in the supply chains in which it operates. The Guild seeks to address the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act (MSA) 2015, and work to ensure that supply chains are free from human trafficking and people working in conditions equivalent to slavery in the modern era.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of MSA 2015 for the financial year 2025-26.
Addressing Risks
In order to maintain legal compliance, The Guild favours clients and suppliers that operate ethically and which are themselves committed to keeping to applicable laws and regulations.
The Guild has historically adopted a risk-based approach to the assessment of its business and supply chains in order to identify categories of supply that may present a higher risk. Any further policy changes that occur as a result of this approach will be applied globally.
The Guild has an internal staff policy in respect of its obligations under MSA 2015. This policy includes a procedure for staff to follow where a risk of modern slavery or human trafficking is uncovered. The Guild has also focused more generally on education, in particular regarding right to work, and is going through a process of ongoing policy and procedure updates. In order to bolster this approach, Guild Assist Limited has entered into partnership with a registered ID Service Provider.
To this end, The Guild is focused on working with clients and other parties in the supply chains in which it operates in order to gain and share knowledge and improve all parties’ procedures.
The Guild also seeks to increase internal and external awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking risks within the wider industry
